The Singapore Archdiocesan Commission for the Pastoral Care of Migrants and Itinerant People (ACMI) observed Migrant Sunday 2014 on 28 September 2014 at the St. Joseph’s Church, Bukit Timah, with a mass celebrated by Archbishop William Goh with members of the Roman Catholic clergy who represented the various nationalities of migrant workers in Singapore. Philippine Ambassador to Singapore Antonio A. Morales graced the occasion together with officers of the Philippine Embassy. Also present were Labor Attaché Vicente Cabe and Welfare Officer Rosanna Siray. In his sermon, Archbishop Goh underscored the invaluable contributions of migrant workers to the Singapore society and economy even as he urged migrant workers to also reach out to locals and other nationalities in Singapore to promote understanding and harmony.
